- Quarterly Young Jains Newsletter
Since the formation of Young Jains in 1987, the Young Jains Newsletter has consistently been been produced and delivered to members. It was first published under the Editorship of Dr Atul Shah, founder of Young Jains, who has now gone onto managing and editing Jain Spirit magazine.
Like any journal, magazine, or newspaper, it provides information, news, and knowledge to its readers. The very first newsletter sent out to the members was a 4-page photocopied issue. Since then, it has come a long way to being a regular 24-page publication.
The newsletter team is responsible for planning the content of each issue, sourcing articles, looking for stories of interest, providing articles of substance to a broad readership, making sure that the articles submitted meet the Young Jains objectives, developing articles, editing and formatting.
The newsletter is an excellent and very safe platform to practice / enhance one's writing / formatting / editing skillls, and the newsletter team are happy to provide support and training. Going forward, we are looking for future editors, writers, and publishers. For further details, contact newsletter@youngjains.org.uk.
