Walk 4 The Future

Shishukunj held its 4th charity fund raising walk at Trent Country Park, Enfield, on Sunday 5th July 2009. 

The task was to complete a 20Km Charity Walk circuit. There was just under 500 walkers and over 100 volunteers who took part in what turned out to be a successful and enjoyable day for everyone involved. The day started early for some at 6am in preparation to getting the base site setup. With the Walk commencing at 9am. We were honoured to have the Mayor of Enfield and Bapu join us in our opening ceremony. The last walkers returned to base and completed their challenge by 3pm. The youngest walkers we had on the day were from 4years old. The monies raised in this project will go towards two causes:

1. Our building project, to acquire and refurbish a Centre of Excellence in Edgware, North London.
2. Towards our International Projects to relieve poverty, sickness and distress amongst children across the globe.

Together we will build a centre of excellence for our children, and help children globally. Every step and every pound brings us closer to making a difference to children's lives.
